Monday

For the second night in a row our perfect baby only wakes up to eat (every 4 hours or so)!  This is a big deal, seeing as her parents enjoy their sleep!

Last night after work Mammy and Grandpa stopped by to visit with us…ok, Sadie.  We could have left and they probably wouldn’t have noticed. :)

More Sadie Pictures!

This weekend my dad, step-mom Lori, Grandma Domaschk, sister Robin, brother-in-law David, brother JT, and niece Shelby all came out to see Sadie and celebrate my birthday (which was on the 6th).  My dad and step-mom were sick when Sadie was born, so this was their first time to hold their grandaughter!  They were naturals.  And to test out my new birthday present (a brand new Canon Rebel XSi), I took a few pictures (watch out Jamie Kutter).  As you can see, Sadie is getting big (and to think, she wasn’t even due until the 7th – the day before these pictures were taken)!  Mom and baby are still doing great!

Jen’s dad stopped by too…but I guess I didn’t take any pictures of him and Sadie…and pictures with Grandma Domaschk didn’t get saved, so they’ll just have to come see Sadie again soon.

Sadie (of course)

Here are some more pictures of Sadie taken from my phone!

Nevermind!

In the last post I mentioned how our old blog posts could still be viewed on Blogger, but yet another useful feature of WordPress is the ability to import old blog posts from different blogging sites!  So, all of the posts (and especially the comments Jen and I love so much) are with us once again, here at our new blog home!

New Baby, New Blog

With the introduction of our new baby girl I have become more inspired to revamp our old blog, so I have made the move from Blogger to our new blog home here at WordPress. I think WordPress is a better site, in general, than many blogging sites out there. WordPress will bring me more flexibility to change the appearance and layout of the blog, but it will also allow me to post more often. I will admit, the main reason for this change is that WordPress offers an iPhone app(lication):

This allows me to post and manage blogs directly from my iPhone (and I can even use the built in camera to upload pictures without having to upload them to a computer, then to the blog). Not only will this save me time, but I will be able to put up a quick blog post when Sadie does something new and cute! You can still get to our old blog to see the older posts by going to http://munagi.blogspot.com. And now http://www.jenericthomson.com will bring you straight here!

To kick off the change, here are some pictures of Sadie with family and her coming home!

Oh Baby!

It is with tear-filled eyes that I announce the birth of our baby girl. But don’t be alarmed. Sadie Suzette (“Sadie Sue”) is a perfectly healthy, perfectly amazing gift. These tears are of pure joy. Happiness. Excitement. Disbelief. Disbelief that I could love this tiny little girl so much! It blows me away to think that just 2 years ago I was praying to God so intently to find my future wife and start a family. With no end to my search for a wife in sight, it seemed even longer until the long-awaited family followed. But God was faithful and in His time brought me out of my single “life” right into the most amazing family that ever lived! It seems like up to that point, when I met Jen, my life was on hold. Every plan I made, every thought I had was on hold. On hold until I finished school. Until I found my wife. Until I had children. Although our quest to grace the earth with the most amazing children is not quite complete, my life has finally begun!

Pictures of our 8lb 20″ little girl will come soon!

Our First Christmas Tree!

Jen and I didn’t do much decorating this Christmas. Our house in a constant construction site so it didn’t make much sense to decorate it with anything other than paint cans, rollers, ladders, sheetrock dust, and so forth, but being our first Christmas being married and being in our home, we wouldn’t have gone without putting up our first Christmas tree! Here is our video so you can share in our experience!

Update: Apparently Blogger likes to cut off the right edge of the video… to watch the uncut (HAHA) version go to Our YouTube page at www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XM9AKm8KZE”

Another Belly Picture!!!

This picture is not quite 33 weeks. Jen is by far the cutest pregnant woman that has ever lived, and I have proof!
